On January 31, 2022, following the filing of a motion by the Monitor on behalf of the Debtors, the Superior Court of Québec issued an order approving the sale transaction between Sural Québec Inc. and 9455-1280 Québec Inc. / 9455-1298 Québec Inc. for the plant and all its assets located at 1500 Pierre-Roux Boulevard E, in Victoriaville, Québec.

On the same day, the Superior Court also approved a sixteenth extension of the Initial Stay of Proceedings Period against Sural Laminated Products of Canada Inc. and Sural Québec until May 2, 2022.

With regard to the application for directions and certain orders (carriers) made on March 19, 2019 by the Debtors, the Monitor has reached a settlement with certain transportation companies that were holding up the collection of the Debtors' outstanding receivables. As such, the Monitor withdrew its Application for Directions. Please refer to the section Court Motions and Orders for a copy of the Application for the Homologation of the Transactions as well as the Order that homologated the Transactions, dated June 3, 2019.

Status of file as of February 11, 2019 

Sural Laminated Products of Canada Inc. and Sural Québec Inc. (the ''Debtors'') filed a petition under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (“CCAA”). The Superior Court of Québec granted the petition and issued an Initial Order pursuant to the CCAA on February 11, 2019. The Debtors are now under the protection of the CCAA and the Initial Order provides for an initial stay of all proceedings until March 11, 2019 inclusively and appoints PricewaterhouseCoopers as monitor of the business and financial affairs of the Debtors.
