PwC Uganda aids flood victims
To help those affected by floods which hit the Eastern region of Uganda, partners and staff from PwC Uganda donated approximately UGX 5 million (US$3,000) to aid the homeless and sick. The funds were used to purchase malaria-, diarrhea- and water-treatment drugs, plus mosquito nets. In addition, clothes and shoes were donated and delivered to local leaders and health ministry personnel by PwC staff who made the 820km journey to the flood-ravaged area of Katakwi district. The contribution touched the lives of over 2,000 flood victims who received clothing and badly needed medical care.
