New computers for Tanzanian students
PwC Tanzania established a new computer lab for 500 students at St. Mary's Mazinde Juu in Lushoto. The school was the winner of a nationwide contest which drew entries from more than 125 schools. A total of 20 web-enabled computers, one printer, and training materials were donated to the girls' school.
To underscore the importance of education in Tanzania, the opening ceremony for the lab was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education and Vocational Training, as well as 500 students and teachers. The computer lab is part of an effort by PwC to enhance the education of girls in Tanzania.
