In 2008, the three things CEOs most want to change are¹:

Ability to adapt to change

The number one thing the CEOs we surveyed want to change is their organisation’s ability to initiate, implement and adapt to change so that they can capitalise on new opportunities more effectively.

Excess government regulation

Over-regulation, government interference and unnecessary bureaucracy where the second thing CEOs most want to change. Many voiced concerns on excess regulation where others are seeking more investment from government (in partnership with business) particularly in funding basic infrastructure.

Access to and development of talent

The third priority for change for CEOs is access to and the development of talent. CEOs were most concerned here with access to and the development of quality staff.

¹In this year’s 11th Annual CEO Survey, we asked over 1,150 CEOs in 50 countries what they would like to change.
