The PricewaterhouseCoopers Corporate Reporting Awards 2008 will be presented in November 2008. Eligible for the Awards are all companies listed on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius or quoted on the Development Enterprise Market, Investment companies, Public Interest Entities (PIEs) and Parastatals presenting IFRS Financial Statements.
Categories
Category 1 SEM7 Companies
Category 2 Investment Companies
Category 3 Other PIEs (inc. DEM market, listed companies other than SEM-7, Parastatals and other large non-quoted companies)
Marking Criteria
Marks will be allocated according to the following criteria:
§ Management Discussions (including Corporate Governance)
§ Design, Text and Copywriting, Ease of Navigation (for reports on CD)
§ Compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards
Awards
Awards will be presented in each of the three categories mentioned above, and in the first two marking criteria. Special Awards may also be presented for the Most Improved Report (from one year to the next) or for any other exceptional criteria as observed by the Jury.
The National Committee for Corporate Governance will offer a special award to the annual report with the bests Corporate Governance disclosures.
Deadline
Public financial information and annual reports issued between 12 November 2007 and 10 November 2008 will be considered.
Companies are invited to submit 2 copies of their latest Annual Report to the attention of The Jury by Monday 10 November 2008.
