PwC continues its support of Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Caribbean Conference

Nassau, Bahamas, 12 February 2018 – PwC Bahamas has partnered with the Bahamas Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA) to sponsor the 36th annual Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Caribbean Conference (ICAC).

Under this year’s theme “Regional and Global Opportunities: Preparing for Success”, Prince Rahming, Territory Leader, PwC Bahamas, said “PwC has been a part of this prestigious, regional body of accountants for the past 30 years and we are very proud to once again partner with our associates to sponsor ICAC, which will mark the fourth hosting of the event in the Bahamas. This year’s theme holds true for both PwC and ICAC – as both are on a parallel path to support the public to meet their business needs, develop and promote the significant role that chartered accountants play throughout the professional services landscape and uphold the standards to maintain transparency and accountability in all aspects.”

The conference will be held June 21-23, 2018 at the Atlantis Resort and will bring together accounting and business professionals throughout the Caribbean, United Kingdom, United States and Canada to cover a number of topics including: regional challenges and opportunities for Caribbean economic developments, the ease of doing business in the Caribbean, recent developments in public sector accounting, leadership in the 21st century, embracing diversity, what accounting millennials want in their careers, a statistical analysis of women in the accounting profession and opportunities for growth, professional ethics and emerging issues impacting the energy sector.
