FTX Digital Markets Limited. (In Official Liquidation)

This page will share live updates on the progress of the FTX Digital liquidation for FTX International customers who have elected to participate in the Bahamas Process. You can view the current focus of the Joint Official Liquidators (“JOLs”) and the expected date that each stage in the FTX Digital Claim Portal will be opened. Note: Not all customers will receive invitations to start each stage of the portal at the same time.

Note: To expedite the claims process the JOLs have designed the portal so that the stages do not need to be completed in a set order and customers may have more than one stage open at any one time. This will not impact the progress of your claim.

Stage 1: Account Registration

 

Stage 2: Electronic Proof of Debt Submission

These stages are closed to new submissions.

For those who submitted a claim in the FDM portal, no further action is required.

 

Customer have started to receive instructions advising them of how to create an account on the FTX Digital Claim Portal. Invitations are being sent to customers in batches.

Stage 3:  Claim Adjudication  The JOLs are currently reviewing claims. 

No further action is required by customers for this stage unless you are contacted by the JOLs.

 

If we require additional evidence to adjudicate your claim you will receive an email inviting you to check the portal. Otherwise once your claim has been adjudicated, your adjudication notice will be uploaded to the portal and you will receive an email notification.

Stage 4: Identity Verification

KYC invitations are being sent to customers in batches.

 

Customers are receiving invitations, however not all customers will receive an invitation at the same time so please do not be concerned if you are yet to receive this.

You will receive an email inviting you to start your Identity Verification. Please complete your submission within 30 days of receiving the invitation.

 

Customers who do not satisfy the KYC request within 60 days of the second request (90 days from the first request) will be deemed to have forfeited their right to receive a distribution.

 

Once you have submitted your KYC questionnaire your Identity Verification status changes from "Available" to "In Progress" whilst we review your submission.

 

If you have already completed Sumsub in the US Process you are not required to send us any proof of identity at this time, you will not receive an invitation to complete Sumsub and you are only required to complete the KYC questionnaire. We may reach out to you for additional information and documentation via the secure messaging function.

Stage 5:  Payment Instruction Submission

The Payment Instruction Submission section of the portal is gradually being opened to customers. 

 

Certain prior stages must be completed first in order for this stage to be opened.

You will receive an email notifying you that the Payment Instruction Submission is open in the portal, this will feature three sections (see below). 29/11/24
Stage 5A: Convenience class selection  Convenience class selection invitations are being sent to customers.

This section of stage 5 is only applicable for customers with balances of US$50,000 or greater.


All eligible customers who have had their claim adjudicated will be invited to make a selection.

If you do not complete this section of the portal you are automatically Opted Out of the Convenience Class.

Stage 5B: Tax details Tax details invitations are being sent to customers.  Customers will be invited to start the Tax Details stage once the necessary steps in Identity Verification have been completed. Customers will be invited to complete the tax stage in batches. 29/11/24
Stage 5C: Payment agents This stage has not been opened. This stage will be opened for customers once a payment date has been set. We will share an expected launch date in the coming months. 29/11/24
Stage 6: Claim Settlement This stage has not been opened. This stage will be opened for customers once a payment date has been set. We will share an expected launch date in the coming months. 29/11/24
