Assessing the impact of COVID-19 on economies and sectors

Governments need to understand the impact to take effective measures. We are working with international institutions to help gather this information.

The COVID-19 outbreak has put a new spotlight on governments as citizens and businesses turn to their representatives for assistance, guidance and information. In order for governments and public sector institutions to take effective measures to minimise the economic impacts of the pandemic, they need to assess the situation and the scale of difficulties to determine where support is needed.

This is particularly important for governments in Central and Eastern Europe, who have focused on the region’s transformation over the past 30 years.

PwC is proud to have been engaged by governments and other institutions across our region to help conduct a number of surveys and gather information to assess the impact of COVID-19 and understand the implications for this transformation.
