Jason is a partner in PwC Law’s Toronto office. Jason’s practice focuses on Canadian tax planning including cross-border financings and transactions, acquisitions and dispositions, internal reorganizations, foreign affiliates, tax dispute resolution and related tax advice for numerous industrial and capital businesses.  

Jason also leads PwC’s managed tax services (“Insourced Solutions for Tax”) practice in Canada, which includes a range of multinational clients benefitting from a virtual in-house tax department experience.

Jason has over 20 years of tax law experience. Prior to joining PwC Law, he worked with several large national law firms, and became Senior Tax Counsel and Canada Country Tax Leader at General Electric.

Among the many third-party transactions he worked on during his tenure with GE and since joining PwC Law, Jason led the Canadian tax planning in connection with GE’s acquisitions of Alstom, Lufkin, Dresser, Converteam, CHCA Computer Systems, BMB Fuel, Wurldtech Security, Bit Stew Systems and Iders, as well as the dispositions of GE’s Nuclear, Hydro, Appliances, Transportation and Lighting business units and certain divisions within GE’s Power and Health care businesses.

Jason is called to the bar in Ontario.
