Talyah shares her experience as a tech professional, Women in Technology mentor and Women’s Inclusion Network member at PwC Canada.

How does PwC Canada foster a collaborative tech work environment?

At PwC Canada, we're all about collaboration! We encourage our tech teams to work together, share ideas and learn from each other through regular tech talks, training and workshops. It's all about delivering the best work for our clients—and having fun while doing it!

Can you describe a moment or initiative at PwC Canada that made you feel particularly supported as a woman in tech? 

One moment that made me feel particularly supported was when I was approached to join our Women in Technology mentorship program as a mentor. It was a great opportunity for me to share my experience and knowledge with others and feel more connected to the women in tech community at PwC Canada. 

In what ways does PwC Canada encourage its employees to bring their whole selves to work? 

At the firm, we celebrate diversity and encourage everyone to be themselves. We have inclusion networks, training programs and events that help us learn from each other and embrace our unique backgrounds and experiences.

Through inclusion networks, such as the Women’s Inclusion Network, I get to meet with women from across the firm who share similar interests and support each other in our career development.  

How does PwC Canada handle work-life balance, especially in tech roles that can sometimes be demanding? 

Our firm knows work-life balance is important and encourages us to take advantage of flexible work arrangements, international remote work options and wellness programs to help us manage our workload and maintain a healthy balance. 

What social or networking opportunities does PwC Canada offer for women in tech? 

We have some amazing groups for women in tech at PwC Canada, including our Women in Technology, Women in Leadership and Women's Inclusion groups. These groups offer mentorship programs, networking events and leadership development opportunities to help women in tech connect, share experiences and support each other.
