A wholly owned state enterprise, in recognising the need for institutional strengthening to enable its national mandate and build on its capabilities, engaged PwC Trinidad and Tobago to help transform the organisation with the aim of emerging as an efficient world class service provider.
The organisation had already developed and approved its 2021 - 2025 strategic plan with clear objectives, but recognised that there were a number of gaps and deficiencies in the existing operations that impacted their ability to achieve their stated objectives. They needed the support of experienced advisors to undertake a transformation exercise to address those issues
Working closely and collaboratively with the client, PwC developed a roadmap which clearly defined the actions required to achieve their desired outcomes. PwC’s analysed and further defined the most immediate priorities requiring attention - organisation alignment, employee empowerment and operational efficiency. The project emphasised the need for restructuring and strengthening of their people and organisation frameworks and policies, paying close attention to corporate culture and the digital and technology requirements necessary to enable their strategic plan.
In defining and validating the roadmap for their transformation exercise, PwC provided needed clarity on the opportunities for improvement across the organisation. By identifying where to begin amongst the recommendations, PwC helped to focus the client on the areas with immediate and substantive impact. The complete implementation of PwC’s recommendations will enable the organisation to realise its strategic aim to be transformed into an efficient world class service provider.
