Hara Strati

Hara specializes in VAT, customs & excise duties and other indirect tax issues. Prior to joining our team in Athens (September 2020), she worked for 13 years in one of the leading law firms in Greece as an indirect tax consultant and litigator. She regularly  advises clients active in a wide range of industries, from energy, pharmaceutical and industrial manufacturing to the retail consumer sector.

Hara has been actively involved as an advisor in some of the most innovative projects in Greece, such as the first import hub, operating under VAT deferral, for a multinational group leading in the IT business and the operation of a strategic natural gas transportation infrastructure. In addition, Hara has successfully supported clients in VAT audits relating, among others, to refund requests and in customs audits relating to excise products and special schemes provided by customs law.

Hara holds an LLB from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, a P.G. Certificate in Tax Law from the Athens University of Economics & Business and a Post Master in EU Customs Law from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam and is a lawyer registered with the Athens Bar Association and admitted before the Supreme Administrative Court.
