PwC has been named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Employee Experience Consulting Services 2022–2023 Vendor Assessment (December 2022, IDC #US49854822).
According to the report, ‘The employee experience (EX) market continues to grow in size and scale of related and integrated services and competencies. EX transformation is driving historically strategy-oriented consultancies to move more into the data space to meet clients more efficiently and effectively as they move through stages of organization change. Each of the consultancies evaluated for this IDC MarketScape supports clients across industries including public sector, manufacturing, technology and software, retail and hospitality, logistics, and supply chain. The combined field of participating consultancies sets the bar for entry into this IDC MarketScape for EX high while collectively narrowing the field for differentiation between them.’
The IDC MarketScape report states that, ‘PwC's employee experience team focuses on four dimensions of employee experience — Meaningful Work, Inclusive Culture, Adaptive Ecosystem (Workplace, Workspace, and Technology), and Holistic Support (Total Rewards and Wellbeing) — to shape positive outcomes for people, the business, and society.’
Commenting on PwC’s strengths, the report states that, ‘PwC's clients' feedback noted the firm highly for communications through change, HR service and strategy, operations guidance, ability to service specific industries, HR technology guidance, and leveraging employee feedback into change and transformation. Overall, clients were highly satisfied with PwC's consultant strength and the quality of their partnership.’
Furthermore, the IDC MarketScape report says to consider PwC when, ‘You are seeking a partner to guide strategic alignment between employees and the overall organization structure, goals, and leadership. PwC offers a differentiated combination of expertise across HR, business, and people strategies and resource management that serves organizations looking to understand how HR and people strategies mesh with business goals and planning.’
Anthony Abbatiello, US Workforce Transformation Practice Leader, PwC US said, 'Employees have fundamentally changed their relationship with work, their expectations of leaders and their loyalty to employers. Experience-led transformation is at the heart of our approach. We work with our clients to shape a new employee experience, consistent with their customer experience — one that invites, empowers and inspires. It connects meaningful work to those who seek it, advances the success of the individual, the business and the customer, and is centered on mutuality and trust.'
IDC MarketScape vendor analysis model is designed to provide an overview of the competitive fitness of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) suppliers in a given market. The research methodology utilises a rigorous scoring methodology based on both qualitative and quantitative criteria that results in a single graphical illustration of each vendor’s position within a given market. The Capabilities score measures vendor product, go-to-market and business execution in the short-term. The Strategy score measures alignment of vendor strategies with customer requirements in a 3-5-year timeframe. Vendor market share is represented by the size of the icons.
