At PwC we are human-led and tech-powered, working together as a community of solvers, to build trust and deliver sustained outcomes. That’s why we’re committed to a culture of care and belonging - fostering a place for people to build their futures and a place that provides everyday support to learn and grow.
One of these ways is through gender diversity. Diverse teams lead to smarter and more innovative solutions, and we are focused on cultivating a more inclusive technology workforce. From diverse teams to disruptive technology, we are bringing together the people necessary to deliver sustained outcomes for both society and business alike. While there is so much more we want to do, we’re proud of the role women at PwC play in pushing the technology sector towards a progressive and exciting future that modernises and re-thinks solutions.
Our 2023 #EmpoweringWomen and 2024 #InclusionMatters insights highlight some very interesting perspectives from the women respondents who identify as working in technology. In fact, women working in tech had the highest workplace empowerment and workplace inclusion scores of women working across all sectors.

PwC's Empowering Women research shares the voices of women from around the world through our research-based insights on empowerment – and exploring what more can be done to propel women’s empowerment in the workplace. The Index found that the technology industry was the industry in which women were the most empowered.
Inclusion matters, and PwC’s research shows that compared to other industries, women in tech feel a greater sense of workplace inclusion. They experience a greater sense of belonging, fairness, and inclusion in decision making at work and that’s not all. But there’s still a long way to go to reach gender equity.
Active Women in Technology networks and programmes have been established across PwC firms globally, including Australia, Argentina, Germany, India, Mexico, the Middle East, the Philippines, the UK and the US.
These initiatives are successfully increasing the number of women in technology, adding essential diversity to the sector and helping inspire the next generation.
