Neil is a Director who has been focused on deals full-time since 1998. He is a member of the UK EUMI Deals team, focused on Financial Due Diligence in Oil & Gas, with a particular specialism in Upstream. However, in his time covering the sector he has also had extensive experience of midstream, downstream and oilfield service companies. He has a significant amount of international experience having undertaken deals in most regions of the world including North, South and Latin America, Europe (including Russia), Middle East, Africa and South East Asia. He spent three years based in the US, working as part of our Transaction Services practice there.

Neil's upstream experience includes deals such as Premier Oil's acquisition of E.ON's UK North Sea assets, various deals for Ineos including the acquisition of DEA UK from L1, due diligence on Salamander Energy plc, CEPSA's acquisition of Coastal Energy plc, BTG's acquisition of a 50% stake in Petrobras Africa, Cairn Energy's acquisition of Nautical Petroleum and PTTEP's acquisition of Cove Energy plc.

In the midstream and downstream sector's Neil has been involved in deals involving refineries (Coryton, Harburg, Heide, Stanlow and Europoort), petrol station companies (Vendor Due Diligence on sale of MRH to Lonestar, due diligence for helios and Vitol on their acquisition of Shell Downstream Africa) and pipelines (such as RWE Net4Gas).

Neil has also been involved with oilfield service companies including Enermech and Welltec.
