London, 23 October 2019: PwC has appointed Michael Stewart to the newly created role of Global Leader, Corporate Affairs and Communications, reporting to Former PwC's Global Markets Leader, Richard Oldfield. Michael has also become a member of PwC's Global Markets Leadership team and chairs PwC’s Global Public Policy Board. He will be based in London.
Michael comes to PwC with over 25 years of professional experience in strategic communications, public affairs, reputation risk management and stakeholder engagement.
Most recently, he served as the European CEO and then Global Vice Chairman of Edelman, the global communications agency. Michael was a valued counselor to a number of the world’s leading companies and professional services firms. Prior to joining Edelman, Michael was a partner and the global head of communications at McKinsey & Company. Earlier in his career, Michael was a senior executive in social sector organisations focussed on sustainability and corporate responsibility, including the Prince of Wales International Business Leaders Forum.
