28 January 2020 – Several PwC Legal entities in Europe are glad to announce rolling out “BRYTER” technology as part of its continued investment in it’s capabilities. The no-code automation platform enables the PwC Legal experts to build professional applications and allows lawyers to transform complex legal knowledge into comprehensible tools.
Today, the impact of digitization is tremendous and implementing the right solutions is key to helping businesses enhance their operations internally and externally; in the way they deliver services to their clients and how they will digitally upskill their people.
Closing the technology gap
In law firms, one factor that is often noticed is the gap between the product development unit and legal professionals. While the latter usually gets in touch with the tool by the time it is market-ready, the product development team very often does not have direct contact with the client. No-code platforms are one potential solution to this challenge, allowing legal professionals without any technological know-how to successfully do their own product development.
“No-code platforms close the gap between legal professionals and product development teams and – more importantly – to the clients.”, says Christian Oehner, Managing Partner of PwC Legal Austria and Global Legal Tech Leader of PwC.
PwC Legal Austria has been a forerunner in digital technologies and an early adopter of innovative strategies. With the aim to provide holistic consulting services in this digital age and assisting clients in their digital transformation, applying new tech solutions and equipping clients with the technological advancement beyond the traditional legal services is key.
“Using BRYTER, we will be able to further accelerate, facilitate and drive the delivery of high-quality consulting services forged with interactive applications. We constantly work on enhancing our legal services as a firm and working with no-code platforms is the next piece in the puzzle.”, says Guenther Dobrauz, Partner and Leader of PwC Legal Switzerland.
Easy-to-use automation to regulatory environment
BRYTER was founded to provide business experts with the automation tools necessary to build powerful applications, with no additional expertise required, and with all necessary features to distribute, control and analyze applications at scale. The software is intuitive and simple enough for non-IT-experts to understand within minutes, yet powerful and enterprise-ready to be used in industries with complex reasoning and demanding use cases, like law, compliance, financial services and public administration.
“PwC Legal Austria and the other PwC Legal entities in the project have realized the potential of easy-to-use automation in a regulatory environment. It is a logical but very powerful step to bring interactive toolsets to clients.” said Michael Grupp, CEO and Co-Founder of BRYTER. Adding “We feel very honored and proud that PwC Legal has chosen the BRYTER technology as part of its digital consulting strategy. This is a great recognition for the work of our team – and it is a great encouragement to pursue our mission in bringing powerful automation toolsets to the expert professions.”
