London, 1 July 2020 - PwC has appointed Pete Brown to jointly lead its Global People and Organisation practice beginning today. He will share this role with Bhushan Sethi who has co-led the practice for the past four years.
Pete takes over the role from Carol Stubbings, who has been appointed as the new Global Leader for Tax and Legal Services.
Pete has been a member of PwC’s Global People and Organisation Leadership Team since 2014, most recently as Global Clients and Markets Leader for the practice.
He joined PwC UK as a partner in September 2010 having previously held senior roles at large professional services organisations. He has over 20 years’ experience as an HR and workforce transformation expert, working with large multinational organisations to help them tackle their people challenges.
Prior to working in professional services, Pete was in the Royal Air Force and continues to support them as a Trustee of the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust with a focus on inspiring STEM skills within young people who also have an interest in aviation. He was appointed MBE for his services to the Royal Air Force.
With over 11,000 practitioners in 138 countries, PwC’s Global People and Organisation practice was ranked by ALM as a Vanguard Leader in HR Consulting in March 2019 and a global leader for Talent and Leadership Consulting in October 2019.
Bhushan Sethi, PwC’s Joint Global Leader for People and Organisation says:
“As COVID-19 disrupts the way we work, accelerating changes that were already in play, organisations around the world are facing the challenge of resetting their people strategies for the post-pandemic world. Pete’s long-standing experience working with international clients and his deep expertise in workforce and HR issues mean he is well placed to lead the practice going forward.”
Pete Brown adds:
“I am delighted to take on this new role. As we start to stabilise following the pandemic and plan for a return to the office, our focus will be on helping organisations redefine the way work gets done and create innovative talent ecosystems that build engaged, enabled and agile workforces.”
