GenAI and it's business impact

Explore the impact GenAI can have on businesses via the interactive graphic below.

GenAI is artificial intelligence designed and trained to create, enhance, summarise or analyse text, data, code, images, voices and more. Compared to conventional AI, generative AI can be more scalable and easier to use. But secure, effective use typically requires both upskilling and rigorous oversight. Microsoft offers a wide range of generative AI tools from Microsoft Copilot, which are being integrated into Microsoft 365 and Power Platform, to Azure OpenAI Services, which combines the power of advanced AI models like GPT-4 and DALL-E with the security and governance of Microsoft Azure.

GenAI can help enhance or automate business processes that involve text, data, code, images or voices. It can also create and increase certain risks to security, privacy, bias, ethics and brands. PwC solutions built securely on Microsoft Azure are designed to deliver valuable business outcomes and manage risks.

GenAI can lead to productivity breakthroughs. It can automate and augment customer service, software development, data analytics, back-office processes such as finance and HR, and more. This new level of productivity can enable business models that might previously have been too costly — such as hyper customising products and services for individual customers.

Responsible AI is a methodology that is foundational for AI’s trusted, ethical use. It’s better to implement trust by design and ethics by design from the start rather than racing to close gaps after systems are up and running. PwC’s Responsible AI framework  offers templates and code-based assets that cover the entire generative AI lifecycle. It addresses cybersecurity, governance, risk management, compliance, privacy, performance, responsible practices for everyday users, and more.

PwC offers real-world experience with GenAI — including upskilling, governance, and protection of underlying data. PwC now has one of the largest implementations of Azure OpenAI in the world and our AI “factory” operating model enables rapid scale and ROI. Microsoft is a leader in secure generative AI technology with more than 4,500 customers already using Azure OpenAI. Our industry-leading relationship can help companies turn generative AI into your business exponential.
