ESG Empowered Value Chains 2025
Our largest survey of ESG in operations shows bold ambitions must be followed by faster implementation of sustainability measures.
Our global supply chain study shows executives are reinventing supply chains from end to end to withstand geopolitical crises, climate change, technological advances and other disruptive threats. What are they doing exactly? And will it be enough?
Supply chain disruption has become the new normal. A cargo ship crashes into a bridge in Baltimore, closing a major port for months, while rebel attacks in the Red Sea could reroute trade for years. Supply chains face severe material, energy and talent shortages, growing ESG demands, evolving business models and competitive ecosystems, and of course, rapidly changing technologies. Disruption hasn’t disappeared post COVID-19; it’s diversified.
Our study shows some companies are overcoming disruptive trends by embracing wholesale transformation. Instead of tinkering around the edges, they are aggressively, and deliberately, reinventing supply chains from end to end to be more adaptable, sustainable and cognitive i.e., thinking systems that grow smarter and evolve. Essentially, they are reengineering supply chains to not just survive disruption but to thrive.
What is driving these major disruptive trends? How are companies coping? Specifically, what capabilities and technologies are they employing? And how do industry leaders - Supply Chain Champions - differ in their approaches? Our global study answers these questions and more.

“Continuous disruption is the new normal. Steps must be taken to reinvent entire value chains with adaptability, sustainability and cognition in mind. There are no shortcuts to staying competitive.”
