Gábor Farkas joined PwC Hungary’s Tax and Legal Services department in 2008, where he specialised in value-added tax. He has assisted numerous Hungarian and multinational companies and municipalities in managing their tax affairs and settling tax disputes. After his secondment to Munich, he built up a new consulting department in the Budapest office (the Smart Tax team), as a result of which PwC became one of the market leaders in the development and implementation of automated tax systems in Hungary. In addition, he participates actively in the work of the National Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers, where he supports Hungarian enterprises as president of the finance section.
As Service Line Leader, Gábor will lead PwC Hungary’s Tax and Legal Services practice and will continue to focus on innovation and digitalisation efforts, in line with the firm’s strategic objectives. He also aims to strengthen PwC’s activities in Debrecen and support the development of Eastern Hungary.
Gábor obtained his MBA from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and is a certified public accountant and tax advisor. In his free time, he enjoys hunting and flying, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
