Avi Noiman

Avi Noiman is a Tax Partner and the Leader of PwC Israel's Asset Management Sector.

Avi has over a decade of experience in the financial services practice, including significant experience handling complex tax issues with the tax authorities in the area of capital markets, such as: the taxation of investment houses, banks and insurance companies; handling tax issues of foreign financial institutions; providing tax support for investment funds (private equity funds and venture capital funds); determining taxation arrangements for complex financial instruments; handling the tax aspects of corporate debt settlements; assisting with group restructurings necessitated by regulatory changes; working closely with hedge funds to meet their tax needs; obtaining withholding tax exemptions for capital market transactions; dealing with pension taxation and stock option taxation.  

In addition, Avi works closely with institutional investors and oil and gas ventures regarding the tax implications of the newly enacted Law for the Taxation of Petroleum Profits, including engaging in discussions with the tax authorities and examining complex tax issues arising in the wake of the "Sheshinski Reform."

Avi is the Chairman of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Israel's Coordination Committee with the Capital Markets Department and is a member of the Institute's platform forum for the clarification of complex tax issues with the Israel Tax Authority. Avi also served as a member of the inter-institutional committee empanelled by the Institute, the Israel Tax Authority and the CFO Forum for the examination of the tax aspects associated with the implementation of IFRS in Israel.

Prior to PwC, Avi served as a tax inspector in the Israel Tax Authority's Office of the Assessing Officer for Large Enterprises.

Avi is an Israeli Certified Public Accountant and received A bachelor's degrees in Business Administration (Accounting) from The College of Management and A law degree from the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzeliya (IDC). Avi also has extensive teaching experience, serving as both a lecturer at the IDC and a senior lecturer at The College of Management.
