You'll have all the benefits of island life, with no student debt to worry about and a full time position, working with our digital experts to solve our clients' important problems.
The programme is available to applicants across the Channel Islands, whether you're a school leaver or if you are looking to upskill and develop your career. This could be your opportunity to earn, learn and fulfil your potential.
“Our Digital Degree Apprenticeship is hugely important to the continued success and growth of our local business. We recognise that the need for digital talent is only increasing and this program is helping us build the right foundation for our next generation of leaders. As part of the DDA program, our apprentices develop core technology skills in areas such as software development, data analysis and cybersecurity and they get to apply these to real world problems, giving them the skills to be successful wherever their future career takes them.”
Exeter University is a member of the Russell Group of research intensive universities and is recognised as a prestigious education institution of outstanding quality. At PwC we help organisations to work smarter and grow faster. Our work is always evolving to respond to industry trends and management focus, and we combine our deep technical skills with our understanding of our clients’ changing needs. We are human-led and tech-powered. The Advisory team helps provide advice and assistance, based on our deep financial, analytical and business process skills to help our clients improve the way they operate, innovate and grow, reduce costs, manage risks, leverage talent and change the way they do business. We use our specialist knowledge to help businesses to reach their potential.
The Digital Degree Apprenticeship is a 4 year programme where you will spend 20% of your time studying through a combination of residential, interactive online and work-based learning. You will study approximately a day a week remotely, one week from each term on campus and your remaining time spent within the Advisory team, working and learning from our specialists, growing your knowledge and gaining experience helping to solve client problems.
After the second year, you’ll have the opportunity to select a specialist pathway for your third and fourth years in one of the following key areas: software engineering, data analysis, IT business analysis, IT consultancy or cyber security. To help you make the most of the opportunity, you’ll have the full support of a dedicated mentor to guide you through your apprenticeship and prepare you for your exams.
Alongside studying for your degree, as part of the Digital Degree Apprenticeship, we also commit to undertake a blended learning programme including professional certification, industry and market experience, and human difference ("soft") skills training including leadership and self-awareness. You will be supported to help balance your time appropriately. In addition, you'll be assigned a 'buddy', who’ll help you out from the start, whether that be to guide you in managing your time appropriately or helping you get involved in our sports and social activities.

It doesn't matter who you are, what your background is, or why you haven’t completed an undergraduate degree previously. Here at PwC, diversity and inclusion is at the heart of what we do. We do have some requirements around the strength of your academic achievements – please see below – however if you don’t meet these, would like to apply, and consider that there are extenuating circumstances, then please get in touch.
A minimum of 120 UCAS points (the subject of your A Levels or equivalent qualification is not important). We understand that some applicants won’t receive their A Level or equivalent results until the summer and this will be taken into consideration during the process and in the form of any offer made.
Due to immigration restrictions in Jersey and Guernsey, PwC Channel Islands is unable to consider apprenticeships for candidates who require work permits. Work permits are currently only granted once candidates are fully professionally qualified.
The Digital Degree Apprenticeship was established by the Government of Jersey and the University of Exeter. All tuition fees will be covered, whether that is a combination of Government of Jersey part funding (available to Jersey applicants) and PwC or PwC alone. The process will be explained in full if your application is successful. In addition, all travel and accommodation costs required to cover the on campus studying will also be paid for on your behalf.
To avoid disappointment, please apply to this role as early as possible.
“The DDA is a great scheme that allows us to balance a professional career while gaining a deeper level of technical knowledge through study with the University of Exeter. Working in the Risk Assurance team supplements the academic side and provides a great support network allowing personal, professional, and academic progression.”
