Experience working with us

If you think Accountancy, Advisory or Tax could be something that will let your talents shine, then it’s time to take action.

Whether you secure a week of work experience with us or a place on our new internship programme, there is no better way to understand what a career is like than to spend time doing the job. If you secure a placement with us, get set for a time packed with new information, business concepts, live projects and case studies. You’ll meet some of our clients, a lot of our staff and learn what it is like to work as a trainee with us. You'll get a real taste of life at the heart of PwC, working alongside graduate trainees and experienced professionals and gain a valuable insight into our business and culture.

Make work experience work for you

You’ll be with us to find out if one of our lines of service at PwC is really for you, so we expect you to ask questions as well as absorbing the day-to-day working experiences. Whilst the teams you are placed with obviously have work to do, part of that work includes supporting you: From making sure you understand the tasks you are set, to giving you all the facts you want about the role and career path. Your time with us will be valuable so make the most of it, we are more than happy to talk about all aspects of life at PwC!

Learn how they do it

Another three years of studying, and doing this whilst working full time may seem daunting, but you’ll be spending time with people who are doing, or have done, just that. Take time to talk to them about how they manage their time, what the rewards are, what they find most challenging and what keeps them motivated. Our trainees follow either the ACA or ACCA study programmes, allowing for different learning styles. This is your opportunity to ask them about the exams, the study content, and anything else you want to know.

How’s it been?

It’s always good to talk, and open and honest feedback exchanges are a valuable part of the work experience process, for you and for us. Towards the end of your programme, we’ll ask you what your experience has been like and help you evaluate what you’ve learnt. We’ll also chat through anything else that could help your decision as to whether accountancy or another line of service, and PwC is right for you. As well as this, we give you some feedback from those you’ve worked with that will give you a valuable picture of the impression you’ve made with the professionals you’ve been working with.
