Get a whistle-stop tour of work and life as a trainee with PwC
We take applications for a number of one week work experience placements. Whether you’re a talented local A-level or a university student, beyond our basic criteria below, the main thing you’ll need to demonstrate is a genuine interest in a career in accountancy.
You’ll be doing real work on real clients so be prepared to get stuck in. You’ll be given a clear schedule for the week, though the one thing you can rely on in business is that priorities may change, and your schedule will need to adjust with them!
You’ll gain valuable business understanding and new skills that would strengthen your CV, whether you choose to apply for a position with us or pursue a different route. If you impress us and you decide we’re the firm for you at the end of your week, your application would be processed as priority to give you the best chance of securing one of any remaining trainee positions.
Candidates complete an application form outlining their skills, qualifications, experience and aspirations. We’ll then chat your application through over the phone so we can fully understand what you’d like to learn from your time with us and to make sure we’re able to deliver on this. This is also a time when we explain what the work experience programme covers and what we’ll expect of you whilst you are a part of our team.
