2025 marks Jersey’s five-year countdown to its 2030 sustainable finance vision and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). What’s next for Jersey, both as an Island community and an international finance centre (IFC)?
‘The Big Transition’ focusses on and explores the need to navigate a low-carbon, resilient, circular and resource-efficient economy, one that contributes to the achievement of the SDGs and one where all finance is sustainable finance. The summit tackled some of the largest concerns relating to the transition that are here and on the horizon.
Hosted on-Island and internationally, the summit engaged the finance industry during a week-long series of events including expert panels, volunteering activities with the Greening Jersey Trust and an art competition for primary school children. The week culminated with Jersey Finance’s Sustainable Finance Awards, recognising the finance firms and individuals in Jersey who are making an impact.
This was a unique opportunity to gain insights and help shape a more resilient, equitable and sustainable future.
