Technical update for Non-Executive Directors and Audit Committee members

We were delighted to announce that our Channel Islands events for Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) were held on 21 and 22 January 2025 in Guernsey and Jersey, respectively.

The flagship PwC technical update was designed for NEDs looking to stay up-to-date on the latest hot topics in corporate reporting before the 2024/2025 financial reporting season kicked off. The events featured focused, tailored sessions led by subject matter experts from PwC UK.

It was also an excellent opportunity to network and collaborate with other members of the NED community and included a panel discussion on corporate governance and board effectiveness.

Overview agenda

The sessions examined the implications of the most significant recent developments in governance, corporate reporting, and technical accounting, including sustainability and climate change, as well as other topics relevant to the audit committee agenda:

• FRC and FCA developments and areas of focus.
• Feedback from the latest PwC reviews of FTSE 350 reporting.
• Update on UK regulatory reform.
