G4 City Special Economic Zone is established in Almaty region

Briefly

The Government approved the resolution on creation of G4 City Special Economic Zone (the “SEZ”) in Almaty region for the period until 2048.

In details

The SEZ with an area of 30 thousand hectares is located to the north of the city of Almaty city. The SEZ would consist of four thematic areas: 

• Gate City - a business and financial center; 
• Golden District - an educational and medical hub; 
• Growing District - an innovative industrial and trade and logistics area; 
• Green District - a tourism cluster. 

The SEZ allows its participants to receive the measures of state support, as stipulated by the Law on Special Economic and Industrial Zones.
