Managing Partner for Eurasia

PwC Kazakhstan is pleased to announce the name of Managing Partner for Eurasia region - Michael Ahern. Mr. Ahern started his career in South Africa, as an auditor and subsequently moved in the tax, legal and people practice. In the late 1990s, he moved to Poland. In the period until 2014, he has worked in most of the former eastern European countries, from the Baltics to the Balkans. 

In 2014 Mike moved to Kazakhstan. He has worked across Eurasia i.e. largely the former CIS (Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Kyrgystan and Turkmenistan). While working in Eurasia, Mike has been involved in various projects in the public sector / international financial institutions area. These projects tend to be multidisciplinary (frequently having legal, people / organisational, economic aspects) and are financed or co-financed by institutions such as the World Bank, ADB, EBRD, UNDP or governments directly (in the case of the Good Governance Fund (UK government).
