Genuine transformation must bring together different technologies, skills, platforms and insights to deliver real change. Hear from Teresa Owusu-Adjei, Head of Legal Business Solution, about why legal teams must prioritise transformation if they are to help the business achieve its wider ambitions.
View TranscriptOrganisations need to transform. With 22% of UK CEOs indicating their business may not be economically viable within a decade on its current path, the need is becoming ever more pressing. Our new report ‘Transform legal to transform business’ which surveyed 300 UK business executives, company secretaries and legal leaders reveals legal must be a critical part of any transformation.
With more than half of all respondents believing transforming legal unleashes wider business transformation and growth, the success of the entire organisation’s transformation plans depend on how the legal function evolves.
If legal is to help the business, it must first transform itself. And that requires the backing of the rest of the organisation, and investments in technology, talent and relationships.
Doing so will not only improve efficiencies, add capabilities and greater value, but attract the best talent and help legal evolve to meet the demands of modern business.
“Re-imagining the structure, working processes, and value that in-house legal teams provide can change the mindset of the entire function, from guardians of risk to enablers of growth. This report highlights just how important legal transformation is becoming for wider business success.”
