June is Pride Month to celebrate the world’s LGBT + community. This month is dedicated to Shine, the PwC global LGBT + community with more than 3,000 employees in 25 territories, established within the PwC network in 2017. PwC Lithuania celebrates Pride Month by organizing events to promote the sense of community and to raise awareness.
The motto of this year’s PwC Pride Month: Everyday actions make a difference. PwC Lithuania strives to create a tolerant, trust-promoting work environment where every employee can be themselves, regardless of their sexual orientation and gender identity.
One of the events dedicated to Pride Month is a Mind-break session for employees “Same-sex families: everyday challenges and ways to deal with them” together with Jūrate Juškaitė, the head of the Lithuanian Centre for Human Rights. Moreover, on June 4, the PwC team will join the March For Equality and Peace organized by the Baltic Pride 2022 festival, thus expressing solidarity with the LGBT + community.
“An inclusive work environment can only be built with the help of trust and open communication. We are pleased that the employees of PwC Lithuania are active participants in the activities organized by the company and thus contribute to the creation of a work environment demonstrating tolerance and understanding. Sexual orientation and gender identity are not always recognizable, therefore, creating a culture where everyone feels safe is one of the priorities of PwC network. By supporting our LGBT + colleagues and working with people having different experiences and attitudes, we create the greatest value - for our customers, people and society”
