PwC professionals advised the fund managed by Taaleri Energia in Finland and the Lithuanian investment company Lords LB Asset Management on the acquisition of wind farms with a combined capacity of 186 MW

PwC Lithuania professionals from Deals and Tax Services advised the fund managed by Taaleri Energia in Finland and the Lithuanian investment company Lords LB Asset Management on the acquisition of wind farms with a combined capacity of 186 MW from the developer European Energy A/S. 

The financial and tax due diligence (buy-side) was performed and advice on other matters related to the wind farm project was offered by a team of professionals from PwC Lithuania consisting of Nerijus Nedzinskas, Teet Tender, Rokas Žemaitis, Greta Dapšauskaitė, and Kristina Grinevičiūtė.

So far, it has been one of the largest transactions in the field of renewable energy in the Baltic States. The wind farms are currently being developed in the municipalities of Anykščiai, Jonava, and Rokiškis. The first wind farms are expected to start their operations by the end of 2021, and the construction works have been scheduled for completion in 2022. The wind farms will have in total 34 General Electric turbines with a capacity of 5.5 MW each and total annual production of electricity of approximately 560 GWh. European Energy A/S (the seller) will further provide the construction development services until the completion of the construction works, as well the technical and commercial management services under a 30-year contract.
