Getting into the PwC experience

Have you ever hired international employees? If so, can you connect me to them?
PwC Malta embraces culture diversity. With 30 nationalities from countries including China, Philippines, United Kingdom, Mauritius and Singapore, diversity is a strength in our firm.

Does PwC Malta organise initiatives for expats to network?
We organise several team-building activities to foster communication amongst employees. These activities offer a break from the day-to-day routine and allows our people to interact with each other in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. We firmly believe that happy employees are loyal employees, and we work hard to achieve this.

What are the opportunities for career development?
At PwC Malta, the sky is the limit! We reward you for your aptitude and hard work by offering numerous development opportunities within the firm.

Getting ready to start

When am I expected to begin working?
We are often commended for our efficient on boarding process. From our first point of contact with you right up until the moment you step foot into the office, we do our best to make your on boarding process as smooth as possible. The length of the recruitment process may vary depending on whether you are an EU or non-EU citizen. Whereas an EU citizen is entitled to free movement within EU countries, a non-EU citizen will need to apply for a work permit and most often even a Visa. The length of this process may vary accordingly.

Will you help me get a work permit?
We will assist you throughout this process by providing you with a checklist of the documents required. Once these are in order, we will submit your documentation to the relevant authorities.

Will I have to find my own housing?
We will provide you with the contact details of local agents who would be able to assist you in this process. Furthermore, we will introduce you to other expats in a similar recruitment stage who are looking for a shared-accommodation. We can also make ourselves available to visit any property of interest to ensure it is up to standard.

Getting on board

What would my first day at work look like?
Your first day at the office is mainly orientation based. A member of our HR team will welcome you, give you a show around of our offices and introduce you to your new co-workers. He/She will then introduce you to your manager and the team you will join. You will also be acquainted with the culture of the firm and its partners through an on boarding presentation. After some filling in of on boarding documents and setting up your laptop, you will be good to go!
