Fabio Axisa joined PwC Malta in 1996 after graduating in BA (Hons) Accountancy. He is a Fellow Member of the Malta Institute of Accountants and was elected to the Council of the Institute in 2012, and was the President of the Institute from July 2019 to September 2021.
Fabio was admitted into the firm’s partnership in 2006 as an Assurance and Advisory Partner, with a special interest in the banking industry. He leads the firm’s banking practice and handles a wide portfolio of clients, including various credit and financial institutions, together with other major local Groups of companies operating in diverse sectors.
Fabio has been in charge of technical matters within the firm for a considerable number of years and he is heavily involved in IFRS consultation work, with a particular focus on financial instruments. In the past few years, he has been involved in delivering various PwC’s Academy technical courses focusing primarily on IFRS and the banking regulatory framework.
