João Veiga

João Veiga is a Country Senior Partner at PwC Mozambique, having started working in Portugal in 1996.

João Veiga also worked in PwC US – New York during 2004-2005 on Sarbanes Oxley projects as well as in audit projects.

He is a member of the international quality review team performing several quality reviews abroad (Argentina, Brazil, Portugal, Mexico, Mozambique, Spain and Uruguay). In 2013, he began working at PricewaterhouseCoopers Mozambique.

During his career, he has been coordinating many audit team activities in the execution of all audit process including planning, fieldwork, and the preparation of audited financial statements. João Veiga has also experience in leadership of complex projects with different profiles, such as regular audit, due-diligences, Sarbanes-Oxley and operational process evaluations and multidisciplinary teamwork.

• Degree in Management by the Instituto Superior de Gestão, Portugal;
• Advanced Management for Executives - Universidade Nova, Portugal;
• Independent Statutory Auditor by OROC, Portugal;
• Certified Public Accountant by OCC, Portugal;
• Member of OCAM (Institute of Auditors in Mozambique).
