December 2018
The Isla Lipana & Co. Foundation, Inc. (ILCFI) brought Christmas cheer to students and indigent children of Malabon City last 5 December.
The Foundation, through its Seat of Hope Program, formally turned over 100 classroom chairs to students of Panghulo National High School in Barangay Panghulo.
The chair donation is a project of the UK Chapter of the Foundation headed by Nino Mar Santos, an alumnus of Panghulo National High School. Nino and Miyuki Hoshiai, who are both firm alumni, witnessed the signing of the deed of donation.
The School Principal extended their heartfelt thanks to the Foundation for the gift of durable and comfortable chairs.
The Seat of Hope aims to address the shortage of classroom chairs and promote a conducive learning experience for children in selected schools nationwide. As of December 2018, the Foundation has donated 5,098 chairs to 37 schools.
The CSR and Foundation team also visited Barangay Concepcion to bring fun and surprises to indigent children through a gift-giving event. The children enjoyed the food, games and giveaways especially the company of the Jollibee mascot.
