RA-GTS extends Christmas for Pasay City North High School

March 2019

School gets new 120 classroom chairs through Isla Lipana & Co. Foundation Seat of Hope

Last year’s PwC Philippines’ Christmas Party with the theme PwC High | Cliques at 96! allowed each group in the cross-LOS competition to fight not just for bragging rights, but also for the chance to give back to a beneficiary public school as our way of thanking our alma maters in shaping us towards becoming successful PwC professionals.

The Maroon team, composed of Risk Assurance and GTS, coordinated with the Department of Education (DepEd) which recommended the Pasay City North High School-Tramo (PCNHS-Tramo) among their list of public schools needing assistance. The team visited the school and noticed that many students struggle with their studies as they find themselves in dilapidated classroom chairs.

Despite not winning the first place, the team raised enough funds from personal contributions and donations from PwC RA-GTS alumni to purchase 120 classroom chairs through the Isla Lipana & Co. Foundation Seat of Hope program.

Witnessing the ceremony were DepEd Senior Education Program Specialist Malou Benisano, RA Manager Alexandra Nicole C. Trajano, Senior GTS Specialist Arnold B. Mendoza, Foundation Secretariat Athenis Joy B. San Jose and several RA associates and senior associates.

The team arranged simple snacks for the students to enjoy after the event and took a brief tour of the campus together with school officers.
