PwC Philippines welcomes its new tax partner

Alexander B. Cabrera, Chairman and Senior Partner of Isla Lipana & Co., the Philippine member firm of the global PwC network, is pleased to announce the admission of Tax Partner Brando C. Cabalsi to the partnership, with effect from 1 January 2021.

Atty. Cabrera states: “Navigating uncertainty requires a determined response that makes our destination no more important than our journey. Brando’s addition to the firm’s roster of leaders inspires us at PwC Philippines in pursuing our purpose, no matter what: build trust in society and help our clients and their stakeholders find solutions to their important problems. 

Brando has more than 18 years of experience in tax, regulatory and legal advisory on capital projects, infrastructure and public-private partnerships. He had worked as Director of Project Development Service at the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center, assisting other agencies in developing, preparing and implementing PPP projects in the Philippines. Brando helped the Philippine government in promoting PPP programs as resource person or panelist in various fora here and abroad. 

Brando earned his Bachelor of Laws at Arellano University School of Law. He is a proud graduate with Distinction in Academic Excellence of St. Paul University-Tuguegarao City with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and secured his legal education from Arellano Law while working with PwC. He is both a Certified Public Accountant and a lawyer.

The new admission brings Isla Lipana & Co./PwC Philippines’ total partners and principals to 31 men and women.
