Alex Cabrera speaks at JPIA ASSET webinar

PwC Philippines’ Chairman Emeritus and ESG Leader Atty. Alexander B. Cabrera delivered a talk entitled “Accounting in Crisis” on 11 December 2022 during Day 4 of this year’s “ASSET 2022: Great Minds and Beyond”. He talked about the significance of the role of accountants not only during the financial and economic crisis, but also in being more conscious and proactive in dealing with sustainability and environmental issues. Most importantly, he emphasized the role of accountants as protectors of truth and builders of trust.

The event, an accounting seminar and extra-curricular training organized by the University of the Philippines – Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (UP – JPIA), was attended by the Top 50 Delegates of this year’s ASSET from different universities nationwide. PwC Philippines is one of the event sponsors.
