Be grateful for people who take the time to give you ‘me time’
While waiting for our food to be served, a barefoot woman at the entrance of a restaurant in Ortigas Center caught my attention. She was holding a feeding bottle.
“Do you have a cup of water for my baby?” she asked the security guard at the door.
I thought the security guard would drive her away since vagrants, or those who appear to be such, were not allowed in the restaurant. But to my surprise, without hesitation, he quickly got a cup of water for her and poured its contents into the feeding bottle.
I realized that I just witnessed kindness. Humanity is not dead.
