Cagayan State University Andrews Campus, BSA 2nd yr.
Under the scorching heat in Tuguegarao City, a kid was peddling his wares.
“Kuya, bili na po kayo, tatlo – isang daan”.
His name is Michael and he has been selling towels to make ends meet. Despite his jovial personality, Michael’s eyes couldn’t hide his exhaustion. After all, he is just a child who’s supposed to be in school, not out on the streets.
Curious, I asked if he still goes to school. He said that he plans to go back but he is still saving up for it. I then realized that for every towel he sells, he is one step closer to his dream of becoming an engineer.
