With the imminent enactment of the proposed Public Private Partnership (PPP) Act, this year's summit holds even greater significance. The law aims to introduce significant reforms to address ambiguities in the previous law, attend to the bottlenecks and challenges in the implementation of the PPP program, and foster a more competitive and enabling environment for PPPs.
The proposed PPP Act is expected to be enacted before the year ends, following its ratification by the 19th Congress on 27 September 2023.
