We collect personal data from clients and potential clients as part of the registration process for the trainings. The personal data may be provided directly to PwC by potential client/client or by his/her employer depending on the type of training provided by PwC.
The information we process include standard information necessary for your registration and relating to the specific training (e.g.name, e-mail address, education, date of birth, eventually your employer´s name, address and your job title).
What are the purposes for processing your personal data?
We process your personal data under valid regulations related to the protection of personal data based on following legal bases depending on the individual circumstances. We may process your personal data based on the contract or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract If you fail to provide certain information when requested for the purposes stated above, we may not be able to comply with contractual obligations and perform the contract we have entered into with you.
We can also process your personal data based on our legitimate business interests, if you are signed up for PwC’s training by your employer under a corporate contract.
We have an interest in developing our business relationship, marketing our services and providing communications which we think will be of your interest. In this respect we process your personal data based on our legitimate interest. For more details pls see our Privacy notice. Our legitimate interest also relates to maintaining our Learning Platform and security management of the platform.
We can also process your personal data based on consent, if you have been requested to express one (e.g. in case of registering for e-mail subscriptions for newsletters from PwC).
Your personal data will be retained for at least the term of contract with you or your employer with us and subsequently for a period of 5 years after finishing study for the purposes of storing your learning records. (Your account will be deactivated after you finish your course and will be kept in an “inactive” mode”). After that, personal data might be stored only for the period indicated by statutory provisions of law or as long as you or us may pursue legal claims towards each other.
We will only share your personal data with others when we are legally permitted to do so. When we share personal data with others, we put contractual arrangements and security mechanisms in place to protect the personal data and to comply with our data protection, confidentiality and security standards. (e.g. we share your personal data with the provider that maintains our Learning Platform and security management of the platform, we might share your personal data with professional institutions providing certification in order to register you for the exam/membership, etc.)

PwC’s Academy VLE is based on the Moodle open source LMS platform. This application uses cookies. Cookies contain only the session ID of the logged-in user. It doesn't contain any other data usable for advertising or marketing purposes.
You have the right to request access to data, rectification, deletion or limitation of processing, including the right to object to processing or the right to withdraw your consent (if we process your personal data based on your consent). The full list of your rights can be found in our Privacy Statement in section “Individuals’ rights and how to exercise them”.
