We support communities in regions by organizing collections

At spring and autumn collections in 2023, we collected more than 120 boxes of women’s, men’s, and children’s clothes, toiletries, shoes, bed sheets, dishes, and other essentials. The items were donated to OZ Vagus (civic association) in Bratislava, the Community Centre in Hnúšťa, and the Archdiocesan Charity in Košice.

For a number of years, we have supported civic associations by organizing collections of clothes and other essential items for people in need via the Firms for Communities platform of the Pontis Foundation. We are happy that were able to contribute to the reuse of second-hand articles.

We have been collaborating with the Community Centre in Hnúšťa on a long-term basis. The Community Centre seeks to integrate the Roma community in the village and the near-by segregated localities by helping improve the level of education of children and the young people. The centre helps adults via educational activities aimed at increasing their chances on the labour market, thus improving their social and economic background, and preventing social exclusion from the society. We collected clothing, footwear, care and beauty products, and school supplies from our colleagues.

OZ Vagus takes care of homeless people in Bratislava. Each day, its employees support about 150 people who come to the centre to eat, wash, and dress. As part of the Medzimiesto integration programme, they provide basic and specialized consultancy to help clients with transitioning to independent living.

For the second year, our colleagues from the Košice office organized a collection for the Archdiocesan Charity in Košice that helps sick, disabled, socially disadvantaged, and homeless people.
