28 April 2022 – PwC Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) announces the signing of a strategic partnership with Alteryx, global leader in analytics automation. Through this partnership, PwC CEE will offer to its clients in 27 countries across the region access to the Alteryx Analytics Automation Platform through a Software as a Service model (SaaS).
“Access to a unified end-to-end analytics automation and advanced data science platform, such as offered by Alteryx, is key to improving operational efficiency across every department of an organisation. This leads to more accurate and timely processing of data, which is crucial for effective business decision-making. Yet, not all businesses are in a position to build full scale technology-savvy teams and in-house infrastructure needed to benefit from this opportunity. Through this strategic partnership with Alteryx, PwC offers our clients the opportunity to unleash the power of advanced analytic automation, machine learning, and data science processes, without the prerequisites of undertaking a massive investment in digital upskilling of their staff and necessary infrastructure,” said Dagmar Haklova, PwC CEE Alteryx Partnership Leader.
“Business users' appetite for timely insights from the mountains of data accumulating within organisations is at an all-time high, driving the need to unify and simplify analytics and data science across the enterprise. Together with partners, we see great potential across CEE, helping customers to maximise value from the Alteryx platform and bringing analytics to all, regardless of their in-house capacity to fuel digital transformation across the region”, stated Barb Huelskamp, SVP, global partners and alliances, Alteryx.
Under the SaaS model, PwC CEE’s experts will be able to design data processes automation Alteryx workflows—and provide online access to use these automation solutions whenever the clients need to, without having to ask PwC staff to upload the data and provide them with the needed outputs.
There is an old business saying that you can’t manage what you don’t measure. So businesses everywhere are more and more focused on harnessing the power of data in order to obtain actionable insights about their performance, clients and operations. Not to mention the ever-growing body of statutory reporting requirements. To achieve this, employees in various departments need to spend hundreds of hours on repetitive manual work on a monthly basis to provide the necessary reporting. This is cumbersome and ineffective. The PwC CEE and Alteryx partnership solves this issue by automating tedious and time-consuming manual data processes in a way that is tailor made to shrink the time and skills barriers needed to make critical decisions.
The Alteryx platform can be used to automate analytics of any kind, from data preparation and blending, to analytics, building machine-learning models and preparing data outputs in the formats required. As such, companies can speed up internal processes, minimise time for identifying and correcting human errors, tackle technical issues when dealing with extremely large data sets, standardise data processes and minimise manual work spent on repeating data tasks. In this way, they can add value for their customers with more data insights and better data control
PwC has been using Alteryx for several areas with excellent results in automating data processes in management and statistical reporting, controls, consolidation, preparing inputs for ERP systems, Journal Entry formatting, data reconciliations, transfer pricing and tax calculations and controls, invoicing, AP/AR reconciliations, financial statements preparation, payroll and other data reconciliations, customs calculations, statutory reporting, and more.
However, using the Alteryx platform delivers value not only in finance, accounting, tax and HR, but also across any business areas where informed data-driven decisions tackle their toughest business problems.
The PwC CEE–Alteryx alliance is a continuation of PwC’s global partnership with Alteryx. It is based on PwC’s extensive experience across the region in creating data transformation solutions and using them in-house, by combining data analytics, finance, accounting, and tax expertise with our digital skills.
