The Life Cycle Assessment is a methodology for assessing the environmental impacts of all stag-es of the life cycle of a commercial product, process, or service, e.g. – for a manufactured product – raw material extraction and processing; the product's manufacture, distribution and use; and the recycling or final disposal of the materials in the product. The goal of LCA is to assess the impact of a product and to compare it with alternative products and identify the best option.
