Education and Trainings

IFRS 17 Trainings

IFRS 17 represents a major change to financial reporting for insurance companies, and it is important for companies to understand the implications of the new standard. Our team of experienced actuaries will provide guidance and advice on best practices and implementation strategies, while our tailored training programs and materials will ensure companies are up-to-date with the latest regulations and requirements. We also provide access to our library of IFRS 17 resources, including webinars, whitepapers, and other educational materials, so companies have the most up-to-date information available.

Actuarial training for non-actuaries

The importance of actuaries and understanding actuarial calculations is increased by the new IFRS 17 accounting standard, which is effective from 2023. We provide training for people from different backgrounds that enhances understanding of actuarial topics for non-actuaries. We tailor training to address different goals via close cooperation with our accounting colleagues. We also provide actuarial training to those with no actuarial background.

Upskilling training

Actuarial trainings for actuaries

The development of new approaches and the utilization of effective tools should not be hindered by a lack of experience. Our expertise helps clients build their business by delivering solutions or by helping them acquire the capabilities to build them themselves. We have experience in delivering courses on various topics and tools, such as FIS Model Developer, Python and Solvency II.
Education provided by the PwC Academy helps experienced actuaries prepare for actuarial qualifications.

Events in schools

PwC recognizes the importance of the actuarial profession in Slovakia. We contribute to the activities of the Slovak Society of Actuaries and initiatives to increase awareness about the role actuaries play. An important part of our activities are presentations by our experts at schools about the actuarial profession. We share our experiences and our view, and we hope to motivate students to choose this profession.

We also provide internships to university students. This is a great chance to work with us on real tasks and gain useful experience. If you are interested in an actuarial lecture at your university, please contact us.
