Zia leads the local Consulting Practice at PwC Trinidad and has over 20 years of experience leading major advisory projects for clients in both the public and private sectors. Zia is a subject matter expert in institutional strengthening, strategic planning, finance function effectiveness, change management, business process reengineering and procurement including public-private-partnerships (PPP).
Zia has deep experience working with international, regional and local enterprises. Zia has extensive experience in serving Government and Government related agencies in Trinidad and Tobago and the Region to develop their Transformation initiatives. She has led a large number of advisory projects including Performance Improvement and Change and Transformation programmes as well as PPP transactions among other Government Ministries and Statutory Authorities across the Caribbean. She has worked with and advised Premiers, Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Heads of Statutory Authorities, Boards of Directors as well as Chairpersons and CEOs.
Zia is familiar with the requirements of Transformation in the Public Sector and has the experience of leading and coordinating Multi-National, Multi-Disciplinary Teams of Consultants on complex Projects and also across a number of countries. Zia has demonstrated ability in handling competing priorities and managing conflict while maintaining strong client relationships, excellent verbal and written communication skills. Zia combines strong financial skills with her institutional strengthening expertise to bring robust and comprehensive solutions to her clients.
Zia frequently works with multi-national teams as well as multi-disciplinary teams and has a strong network of Global specialists with whom she frequently collaborates with to bring the best solutions and ideas to clients while ensuring a clear local context.
Zia is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and holds an MBA with Heriot-Watt University.
