Our government and public services practice focuses on providing consulting services to local, national and regional government entities. Governance & anti-corruption

PwC Ukraine supports reforms in Ukraine aimed at the effective performance, transparency and accountability of government bodies. We believe that our longstanding partnership with government and civil society organisations gives us the right insight, skills and connections to make government institutions more accountable and responsive to the needs of citizens. We provide expert advice and support to improve the capacity of public institutions, the regulatory environment and public service delivery overall. Our team advises a number of state authorities across a wide range of topics, including developing new operating models and organizational structures, assessing policy impact, optimizing processes and implementing new tools and solutions to mitigate corruption risks.

Business Environment

PFM

We support public finance institutions with harmonization of their approaches and policies with EU directives and good international practices, developing modern forecasting and budgeting tools, and introducing corporate governance principles. We bring together a mixture of the best international experience and knowledge of the local context to reform Ukraine’s public finance. Our approach to public finance management is focused on building strong state institutions equipped with proper tools and efficient processes.

Decentralisation and local governments

We support central government authorities in the transfer of powers, resources and responsibilities to local governments, with the ultimate aim of building strong and effective communities with clearly defined strategies and sustainable development. Our approach is based on good understanding of local government specifics as well as deep knowledge of central government functions and policies. Our technical expertise ranges from strategy development and management consulting to support of conflict affected regions and internally displaced persons.

Gender equality & social inclusion

We believe that every initiative should be implemented with consideration for its potential impact on gender equality and social inclusion. We apply a gender lens to all of our work to assess the impact of policies and reforms, promoting changes that lead to greater gender equality. We work together with the government, international partners and civil society to combat deeply entrenched gender stereotypes, promote the principle of equal pay for work of equal value and reduce the gender pay gap increase female participation in the labour force, and promote female representation in politics and leadership positions.
