NBU expands opportunities of business to buy foreign currency

The National Bank of Ukraine has taken the decision to gradually abolish the requirement for businesses to purchase foreign currency only under liabilities. Starting from July 20, 2021 Ukrainian residents (legal entities and private entrepreneurs) will be allowed to purchase foreing currency within the limit of 100 thousand euros per day (i) without the presence of legal grounds and obligations and (ii) without submitting supporting documents to the bank.

We are looking forward to further liberalization of currency restrictions on behalf of the National Bank of Ukraine.
